Hubbard Honored with Third-Consecutive CL Player-of-the-Week Award

JACKSON, Mich. – The Crossroads League named its athletes of the week on Monday afternoon, in which Jason Hubbard was honored as the CL men's basketball Player-of-the-Week once again.

The senior has been tabbed the CL Player-of-the-Week for three consecutive weeks, while he has taken home the award five times in his illustrious career. Hubbard is the second player in the history of CL to be honored three weeks in a row.

The Miamisburg native helped Taylor to victories over SAGU AIC (3-7) and Embry-Riddle (4-7) on consecutive days. The forward poured in 31 points in the first contest before scoring 15 in a mere 15 minutes against Embry-Riddle as TU blew out the Eagles. Hubbard shot an impressive 68 percent from the field and 67 percent from beyond the arc.

Hubbard continues to pace the CL in points per game with 23.7, which ranks fifth nationally and sits third in the CL in rebounds per contest with 8.6.

After Hubbard's latest honors, TU Athletics has claimed 33 Player-of-the-Week awards in 2022-2023, while the honor marks the third for the Taylor men's basketball program this season.

Taylor (8-6, 2-3 CL) steps onto the hardwood again on Friday, December 30th, to take on RV Olivet Nazarene (10-4) back inside Odle Area for the first time in almost three weeks, with an early tip-off set for 5:00 pm.
