Five Trojans Earn Ping All-Region Honors

NORMAN, Okla. – Five members of the Taylor men's golf team were named to the Ping All-North Region Team announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America.
Taylor seniors Alec Dutkowski and Jeremy Ray, juniors Scottie Marston and Nate Morris, and freshman Lucas Beck each earned a spot on the Ping All-North Region Team.
The NAIA North Region consists of institutions from the following conferences; Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference, Crossroads League, Heart of America Athletic Conference, River States Conference, Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference, as well as unaffiliated schools Lincoln College and College of the Ozarks.
Dutkowski earned All-Region honors for the fourth consecutive season after leading the Trojans with a 72.97 scoring average in 31 rounds this season. The three-time Crossroads League Player of the Year closed his remarkable career in style with a 7-under par 64 during the final round of the 2019 NAIA National Championship to earn a spot in a three-man playoff for the national title.
Ray was named All-Region for the first time in his career after notching a 75.71 scoring average in 31 rounds. Ray earned All-Crossroads League honors for a second straight season after earning a runner-up finish in the 2019 Crossroads League Championship.
Marston claimed his spot on the All-Region team after a strong 2018-2019 season that saw the junior from Delwood, Minnesota collect a pair of individual tournament victories. Marston posted a 76.46 scoring average in 26 rounds and posted four top-10 finishes.
Morris collected his place on the All-Region team after carding a scoring average of 76.45 in 31 rounds this season. The junior from Spencerville, Indiana was named All-Crossroads League this season and posted eight top-20 finishes.
Beck earned his spot on the All-Region team after a strong freshman campaign in which the Zionsville, Indiana native was named the Crossroads League Newcomer of the Year while also winning the 2019 Crossroads League Championship. Beck posted a 75.13 scoring average in 31 rounds and posted six top-10 finishes.
