Four Trojans Earn All-League Honors

AVON, Ohio – Following a dominant performance at the 2022 Crossroads League Championship last week four members of the Taylor men's golf program were named to the All-League team, the Crossroads League office announced on Friday.
Redshirt junior Javan Johnson and junior Drew Pickering each earned All-League honors for the second straight season while junior Noah Ross and sophomore Adam Kasitz were each named to the All-League team for the first time in their careers.
Ross finished the season with the second-best scoring average in the Crossroads League at 73.84 which also ranks as the sixth best season scoring average in Taylor history. The Upland, Indiana native notched seven top-10 finishes in 13 starts, including a runner-up finish at the 2022 Crossroads League Championship.
Johnson earned All-League honors for the second straight season after posting the third best scoring average in the Crossroads League at 73.97. An All-American a season ago, Johnson collected nine top-10 finishes in 13 starts, including seven top-3 finishes as well as a third place finish at the 2022 Crossroads League Championship.
Pickering was honored with an All-League selection for the second straight season, posting a 74.84 scoring average in 32 rounds. Pickering set a Taylor and course record at The Players Club Invitational in the fall with a blistering 9-under par 63. The Indianapolis native earned six top-10 finishes, including a fourth place finish at the 2022 Crossroads League Championship.
Kasitz was named to the All-League team for the first time in his career in 2022 after posting a 75.63 scoring average in 32 rounds. The sophomore from Wichita, Kansas notched six top-10 finishes in 13 starts, including a tie for fifth place at the 2022 Crossroads League Championship.
In addition to the four All-League selections for Taylor, junior Erik Fahlen was honored as an All-League Honorable Mention selection, posting a 76.96 scoring average in 25 rounds. Fahlen managed three top-10's in the last five events of the spring and finished tied for 12th at the 2022 Crossroads League Championship.
After leading the Trojans to a sixth consecutive Crossroads League title, Taylor head coach Cameron Andry was named the 2022 Crossroads League Coach of the Year. This marks the sixth time in Andry's 11 seasons he has been named the Crossroads League Coach of the Year.
The 16th-ranked Trojans will now turn their attention to the 2022 NAIA National Championship scheduled for May 17-20 at TPC Deere Run, the home of the PGA Tour's John Deere Classic, in Silvis, Illinois.
