Gerber Receives Second Crossroads League Weekly Award

AVON, Ohio – For the second time this season, Daniel Gerber has been named the Crossroads League Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week, as announced by the Crossroads League Monday afternoon.
Gerber and the No. 3 Trojans competed at the Louisville Classic, running in the Gold Race against NCAA Division I, Division II and top-ranked NAIA teams. Gerber clocked an outstanding time of 24:04.7, setting a career-best mark by 34.2-seconds and claiming the second-best time in Taylor cross country history.
The senior from Danville, Indiana finished 30th-of-353 runners and led the Trojans to finish 21st place overall.
Gerber and No. 3 Taylor will return to the course for the Great Lakes Challenge in Grand Rapids, Michigan on October 23.
