Taylor Men Claim 11 NAIA Scholar-Athlete Awards

KANSAS CITY – The Taylor men's cross country team received a share of the nation's most NAIA Men's Cross Country Scholar-Athlete awards in 2022, as a swarm of 11 Taylor student-athletes received the honor.

Only Concordia (Neb.) and Milligan (Tenn.) matched Taylor in its academic prowess.

Zane Callison, Nate Conkel, Ben Eiffert, Jack Hammond, Josh Harden, Zach McKowen, Grayson Rasmus, Matthew Roach, Cody Sonnenberg, Nathan Streitmatter, and Sam Voss were among 467 men's cross country student-athletes from around the country honored for their achievements in the classroom.

To be eligible for an NAIA Scholar-Athlete award, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade-point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale while having attended one full year at their current institution.

In addition to their excellence in the classroom, the Taylor men also performed highly on the course, finishing 16th among 36 teams at the 2022 NAIA Men's Cross Country National Championships.
