Richardson Named Crossroads League Player of the Week
Crossroads League Release I Taylor Honors
UPLAND, Ind. – Freshman guard Megan Richardson of Taylor women's basketball has recently been named the Crossroads League Player of the Week, as announced by the league office.
Richardson was Taylor's leading scorer in its victory over Judson, netting 15 points on 11-of-18 shooting from the charity stripe after countless aggressive drives to the basket. Richardson also had six rebounds and was a disruptive force on the defensive end with two steals and two blocks.
The freshman from Oxford, Ohio has now led Taylor in scoring for its last three contests, all victories over non-league competition. Richardson is also leading the Trojans in her first collegiate season in total steals and blocks as a valuable player on both ends of the court for the young Taylor squad.
Richardson is the first Taylor women's basketball player to earn the award since Erin Guarneri was recognized with the weekly honor in January of 2013.
