Four Trojans Earn NAIA Scholar-Athlete Honors

KANSAS CITY – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics recently announced its list of 2019 Daktronics Women's Golf Scholar-Athletes, with Taylor's Alexis Harris, Lauren Murphy, Annie Stimmel, and Raquel Helton earning the distinction.
In order to be named an NAIA Scholar-Athlete, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade-point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved junior academic status at their current institution.
Harris, Murphy, Stimmel, and Helton were among 156 women's golf student-athletes from around the nation to be named 2019 NAIA Scholar-Athletes. The Trojans were tied with Bethel for the most honorees among Crossroads League institutions.
The Trojans claimed their third consecutive Crossroads League title during the 2018-19 season and finished the season with a 12th place finish at the 2019 NAIA National Championship.
