AVON, Ohio – Taylor women's soccer team members Savannah Porter, Megan Kammer and Bailey Zehr were selected for All-Crossroads League honors, the league announced on Tuesday.
37 players were honored, with 25 on the Crossroads League First-Team and 12 as Crossroads League Honorable Mention. The first team and honorable mentions are selected by the coaches within the league.
TU finished the 2017 season with a 12-7-1 record, including a 4-4-1 mark in Crossroads League play to earn the sixth seed in the Crossroads League Tournament. The Trojans defeated cross-county rival and third-seeded Indiana Wesleyan, 2-0, in the quarterfinals, before falling to No. 14 and second-seeded Marian, 2-1, in the semifinals.
Porter was selected to the first-team for a second-straight year as a defender, after earning All-Crossroads League and NAIA All-American honors a year ago. The junior led the TU backline to nine shutouts on the season, while adding a goal and an assist on the offensive end as well.
Kammer earned first-team honors for the second time in her career, with her first-career All-Crossroads League selection coming after the 2015 season. The senior midfielder led the Trojans with five assists and three game-winning goals, while ranking third on the squad with six goals and 17 points this fall.
Zehr was the third Trojan voted to the first-team, after leading the team with career-highs of 12 goals and 28 points on the season. The junior also notched four assists on the year, second-most on the squad behind Kammer's five helpers.
