Harrell Earns CoSIDA Academic Honor

UPLAND, Ind. – Senior Haley Harrell collected her second CoSIDA Google Cloud Academic All-District II First-Team selection with the announcement on Thursday.
The award is designed to recognize student-athletes for outstanding achievements in the classroom, as well as on the field or court of play. To be eligible for the honor, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.30 or higher on a 4.0 scale, must have reached sophomore status academically with one full year at the current institution of enrollment and must have participated in over half of the team's competitions during the current season.
Harrell boasts a 3.87 GPA, while majoring in marketing and management at TU. The Plymouth, Indiana native's career has been nothing short of sensational, tallying over 3,000 assists to finish seventh all-time in program history. Harrell's 2018 campaign was characterized by career-highs with 1,254 assists and 488 digs.
The senior joins eleven other Trojans to help Taylor lead the NAIA with twelve CoSIDA Academic All-District II First-Team selections during the 2018-2019 school year.
Harrell will now be placed on the national ballot for the CoSIDA Academic All-America team.
