CoSIDA Recognizes Harrell as Second-Team Academic All-American

AUSTIN, Texas – The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) honored senior Haley Harrell as a Second-Team Academic All-American for her performance on the court and in the classroom.
Harrell capped off her incredible career with a personal-best 1,254 assists in 2018, ranking 25th in the NAIA. The senior setter finished her time in Upland with over 3,000 assists to finish seventh in program history. On defense, Harrell averaged 3.78 digs per set, which helped the Trojans sit atop the Crossroads League with 18.2 digs per set in 2018. Off the court, Harrell carried a 3.87 GPA, while majoring in marketing and management.
Harrell is the sixth Academic All-American in TU volleyball history, while being the first since Kelsey Arvin in 2014. Taylor has now accumulated 79 Academic All-Americans in school history.
The CoSIDA Google Cloud All-America award is voted on by members of CoSIDA, recognizing the finest student-athletes from around the nation at NAIA, Canadian and two-year institutions. A student-athlete must be nominated by their Sports Information Director, must have reached sophomore status academically with a 3.30 cumulative GPA and must be a key contributor during the current season in order to be eligible for the honor.
