Crossroads League Release | TU Honors Page
JACKSON, Mich. – The Crossroads League announced its first batch of weekly honors for volleyball on Monday, with TU's Amanda Adams being named the CL Attacker of the Week for her performance at the Keiser Invitational.
Adams opened her fifth year with the Trojans in style, piling up 47 kills, 28 digs and eight service aces over four matches, and boosting that production to 14.0 kills and 4.2 digs per match over Taylor's three victories at the event.
The Heath, Ohio, native was on-point throughout the tournament, hitting .300 over 110 swings and highlighted her strong showing with a 23-kill, 11-dig double-double in Taylor's four-set win against Southeastern.
Adams currently ranks No. 32 among all NAIA players with 3.6 kills per set and sits No. 49 with in hitting percentage.
The Crossroads League Attacker-of-the-Week award is the fifth CL weekly honor that Adams has earned in her time with the Purple and Gold, and is the first such award for a Taylor student-athlete to start the 2021-2022 year.
Adams and TU (3-1) will return to action on August 27 and 28 to host the Amber McClure Fayerweather Memorial Tournament. Taylor is set to take on Concordia and Saint Francis on Friday at noon and 5:00 pm, before closing the weekend against Bluefield on Saturday at 5:00 pm inside Odle Arena.
