Bragg Takes Fifth CL Setter-of-the-Week Honor

JACKSON, Mich. – For the fifth time this season, Kacy Bragg was selected as the Crossroads League Volleyball Setter of the Week, as announced by the CL offices on Monday morning.
Bragg helped No. 25 Taylor to three-set wins over RV Mount Vernon Nazarene and Saint Francis, securing a tie for second place in the Crossroads League standings for the Trojans.
In those two victories, Bragg averaged 13.0 assists, 2.2 digs and 0.7 blocks per set. Those numbers translated to 39.0 assists, 6.5 digs and 2.0 total blocks per match.
On the season, Bragg leads the NAIA with 1,195 assists and rates second in the nation with 10.8 assists per set.
Bragg has now claimed five of the 10 CL Volleyball Player-of-the-Week awards garnered by Taylor volleyball this fall, with Stephaney Fifield and Amanda Adams accounting for the other five awards.
The award also gives Taylor Athletics a total of 18 CL or MSFA Player-of-the-Week nods this fall.
Bragg and No. 25 Taylor (26-6, 14-4 CL) will turn their focus toward the 2021 Crossroads League Tournament, which is set to begin on Saturday, November 6 with a 5:00 pm quarterfinal clash with Spring Arbor (14-17, 7-11 CL) inside Odle Arena.
