UPLAND, Ind. – In front of a standing-room-only crowd inside Odle Arena during Homecoming weekend, the Taylor volleyball squad fell against No. 2 Indiana Wesleyan (26-0, 15-0 CL) in three sets.
Using the energy from the crowd, the Trojans started the first set with three straight points and put the Wildcats behind early. TU continued to battle in the first set but could not keep up with the firepower of IWU.
McKaylah Flagle was all over the floor, collecting 12 digs and providing the Trojans' lone service ace of the match. The sophomore climbed over 900 career digs in the match as she approaches 1,000 late this season.
Jaylynn Dunsmore provided two solo blocks, and Sarah Scott bounced back from a tough performance against Huntington to lead the team with six kills.
Taylor (13-17, 3-12 CL) heads on the road to face Saint Francis (CL) on Wednesday, October 25, with the match set to begin at 7:00 pm.
