JACKSON, Mich. – Five Trojans were named All-Crossroads League in Tuesday's announcement, with Lindsay Springer and McKaylah Flagle garnering second-team status.
Springer was terrific for the Trojans in her debut season, notching 1,294 assists, which ranks fifth in the NAIA. The sophomore transfer was excellent all-around, placing third on the team in blocks and service aces with 45 and 30 respectively. Springer was also second on Taylor with 275 digs for 2.18 digs per set.
Flagle improved on a terrific freshman campaign and upped her digs per set to 4.12, which was fourth in the Crossroads League. The sophomore libero now sits at 963 career digs after piling up 519 this year. Flagle adds the All-Crossroads League Second-Team recognition to the All-Crossroads League Freshmen Team honor she received last year.
Grace Ieremia, Jaylynn Dunsmore, and Gracie Conway each collected Crossroads-League Honorable Mention recognition.
Conway developed into the first option on the outside, leading the team and placing third in the CL with 394 kills. The junior was rock steady, playing in all 126 sets along with Springer and Flagle.
Ieremia earned her second Crossroads League Honorable Mention selection in as many seasons by leading TU in blocks with 112 and hitting percentage at .267. The junior has come into Taylor and delivered back-to-back seasons deserving of Honorable Mention All-Crossroads League.
Dunsmore notched her first CL Honorable Mention honor after a season in which she was a jack of all trades for the Trojans. The junior switched to the right side to begin the year before moving back to her natural middle position and even served when called upon. Dunsmore put up 252 kills, good for third on the team, and 74 blocks, which trailed only Ieremia.
