Frey Collects Third CL Attacker-of-the-Week Honor After a Pair of 20-Kill Outings

UPLAND, Ind. – Ellie Frey continued her tremendous debut season at Taylor, picking up her third Crossroads League Attacker-of-the-Week award on Monday afternoon.

Frey led the Trojans to a pair of four-set wins in Crossroads League action over RV Grace and Huntington. The outside hitter posted a pair of double-doubles and went over 20 kills in each win while putting up a remarkable .268 hitting percentage.

The Grand Canyon transfer began the week with a phenomenal match against RV Grace in which she put up 23 kills, 12 digs, and a pair of blocks as she hit over .300. Frey followed it up with an astounding 20-20 match in a four-set victory over Huntington.

No. 22 Taylor (12-4, 3-1 CL) continues Crossroads League play on Wednesday, September 17, against No. 23 Spring Arbor (14-2, 2-2 CL) on the road with the match set to begin at 7:00 pm.
