Frey and Anderson Collect CL Weekly Awards

JACKSON, Mich. – After a terrific 2-0 week for the Trojans, Ellie Frey and Ruth Anderson collected Crossroads League Athlete of the week honors in separate categories.
Frey was named the Attacker-of-the-Week after notching a pair of double-doubles with averages of 4.9 kills and 3.7 digs per set. Frey's all-around game was on display as she added six blocks and four service aces throughout seven sets.
The honor is Frey's fourth of the season, which is the most in the Crossroads League.
Anderson joined Frey after an incredible display at the net produced 10 blocks and 18 kills. The freshman broke out against RV Marian with career highs in kills (11) and blocks (7) as TU swept the Knights.
Anderson's award is the first of her collegiate career as she has taken off since being reinserted into the starting lineup four matches ago. The middle hitter is averaging 2.1 kills and 1.0 blocks per set in those matches.
No. 20 Taylor (18-9, 9-6 CL) are back inside Odle Arena to face Saint Francis (4-23, 0-15 CL) on Wednesday, October 29, beginning at 7:00 pm.
