2017 at Taylor: Developed into major force for Trojans as full-time left fielder … Started 53 games and played in 55 … Set career-highs across the board and closed breakout year with .316 average, .467 on-base clip, .592 slugging, 53 runs, 14 doubles, two triples, 10 home runs, 60 runs batted in, 42 walks and 17 stolen bases in 20 tries … Patient hitter routinely worked deep into counts and led TU lineup in free passes and on-base percentage … Rated second on roster in runs, triples, homers, RBI and third in slugging and steals … Was among Crossroads League’s top-five performers in runs, RBI, homers and steals … Led CL with 34 RBI in league play and rated second with .718 slugging percentage and 35 runs scored over 27-game league schedule … Also blasted league pitching for .353 average and .525 on-base clip … Posted .720 slugging percentage at Winterholter Field … Was not distracted when TU hosted home track meets beyond left field fence, hitting .368 with four dingers and a 1.053 slugging percentage in six games during home Taylor track meets … Clubbed first collegiate homers on February 18 with one in each end of a doubleheader with IU South Bend … Turned in first multi-homer game in 19-9 win over Indiana Wesleyan on April 8 … Added career-high six RBI in that rout of IWU … Named Crossroads League Player of the Week after going seven-of-12 with two home runs and five-extra base hits in three-games against IUSB … Named Honorable Mention All-Crossroads League.
