NAIA Baseball Coaches' Top 25 Poll
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Taylor University baseball team has achieved its highest ranking in program history, coming in at No. 3 in the first regular-season edition of the 2026 GoRout NAIA Baseball Coaches' Top 25 Poll, released Wednesday by the national office.
TU (16-1, 4-0 CL) earned 395 points, trailing No. 2 Georgia Gwinnett (18-1) by just four points in the latest polling. The Trojans were previously ranked ninth with 319 points in the NAIA Coaches' Top 25 Preseason Poll, which had also represented the program's highest in-season ranking during the 2025 campaign.
Taylor has now appeared in 17 consecutive polls dating back to the 2023 season.
The Trojans have opened the year on a historic pace, recording the program's first 11-0 start. Highlights include a road victory over No. 15 Arizona Christian and a four-game sweep of St. Thomas, which was previously receiving votes and has since climbed to No. 17 in the updated poll.
Among NAIA stat leaders, TU pitching leads the nation in WHIP (1.00), ranks second in ERA (2.33) and fifth in strikeouts-per-nine innings (11.33).
At the plate, the Trojans are ranked seventh in home runs (27) and slugging (.563), ninth in total runs (186), 11th in hitting (.340 BA) and extra-base hits (70). The Trojans are averaging nearly 11 runs per game, while producing 10 or more in nine contests.
No. 3 TU returns to action this weekend in a pivotal Crossroads League series at No. 24 Huntington (14-1, 4-0 CL).
