Taylor Receives Votes in Latest NAIA Top-25 Poll

UPLAND, Ind. – The NAIA released its latest Coaches Top-25 Poll on Wednesday, with Taylor (9-3, 3-1 CL) receiving three votes to appear in the poll for the first time since the 2017-2018 season.
The Trojans are on a five-game winning streak, which includes upsets over No. 10 Indiana Wesleyan and No. 7 Bethel in Crossroads League play.
Taylor continued its streak alive with wins against Moody Bible, Goshen, and Milligan as the offense has exploded for 309 points in the past three games. Izaiah Day has led the offense surge scoring 19 or more in all three including a career-high 34 the last time out.
Pete Combs leads the team in scoring this year with 16.5 points per game, while six players average eight or more points per game in a diverse and efficient offense. TU has greatly improved on the glass averaging 42.8 rebounds and a margin of plus 10.8, both marks second best in the CL.
The Trojans have a perfect 5-0 record inside Odle Arena and sit in a tie for second in the Crossroads League, trailing only No. 1 Grace (12-0, 4-0 CL) in the standings.
Taylor continues its season on Wednesday, December 17th against St. Thomas (7-6, 0-3 SUN) in the championship game of the red bracket at the Christmas at the Wooden in Xenia, Ohio, with the game tipping at 12:30 pm.
