Trojans Collect Five Honors from WHAC
UPLAND, Ind. – The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference recently announced its 2022 All-WHAC awards, including its All-Academic Team and Champions of Character Team. Taylor claimed five of those accolades.
The trio of Teegan Heiniger, Nathanael Love and Bennett Booker represented TU on the Academic All-WHAC Team for their work in the classroom. Student-athletes must have reached junior academic standing with a cumulative grade-point average of 3.25 and above to be eligible for the honor.
Taylor also took two spots on the WHAC Champions of Character Team, which recognizes one student-athlete from each institution that best represents the NAIA's five core character values of respect, integrity, responsibility, sportsmanship and servant leadership. Love was selected from Taylor to receive the honor, while TU head coach Chad Newhard was named the WHAC Champions of Character Coach.
