Men’s Lacrosse Clinches Spot in WHAC Tourney with Road Win
DEARBORN, Mich. – Taylor pulled away in the second half of Wednesday's 15-11 road win at Michigan-Dearborn, matching the program record with seven wins and punching its ticket to the upcoming WHAC Tournament for the second time in program history.
The back-and-forth action saw TU overcome first-half deficits of 3-1 and 5-3, as the Trojans battled back to a 7-7 draw by the intermission.
After a quick goal to start the third from UMD (4-10, 0-6 WHAC), Taylor got back-to-back goals from Jack Kaiser to take the lead, and two-straight strikes from Will Saxby to build an 11-8 lead heading to the fourth.
The Trojan rally continued into the early moments of the final period with a man-down and unassisted goal from Jackson Dale, before Kaiser and Saxby found the net again to push the margin to 14-8.
On the night, Saxby led the squad with five goals and three assists, with Kaiser adding four scores. Dale chipped in with two goals and three helpers.
On the defensive side of the field, Lucas Pacer had seven ground balls, while Trace Muylle and Casey Bane each had two caused turnovers.

Taylor's victory was highlighted by a pair of man-down goals, a plus-14 gap in ground balls and a plus-10 advantage in faceoffs.
RV Taylor (7-6, 2-4 WHAC) clinched the sixth and final seed in the WHAC Tournament with the victory and will play at the third-seed's field in the opening round on Tuesday, April 22.
Prior to that contest however, TU will close its regular season at No. 5 Madonna (12-4, 5-1 WHAC) on Saturday, April 19 in a 1:00 pm start.
