LIVONIA, Mich. – The RV Taylor men's lacrosse team suffered a 21-6 defeat at No. 5 Madonna on Saturday, in the final outing of the regular season for the Trojans.
A pair of early goals from Henry Cooper gave TU early 1-0 and 2-1 leads and helped Taylor battle Madonna (13-4, 6-1 WHAC) to a 6-3 margin at the break in favor of the hosts.
The Crusaders posted eight scores in the third however to put the game out of reach and continued to pile on in the fourth.
Cooper and Jackson Dale each scored twice for Taylor, with Dale dishing out one of TU's two assists in the contest.
Casey Bane and Lucas Pacer were busy on the defensive end, with Bane posting nine ground balls and five caused turnovers and Pacer adding five ground balls and two caused turnovers.
RV Taylor (7-7, 2-5 WHAC) will now turn its focus toward its second-ever trip to the WHAC Tournament, with a 4:00 pm Tuesday clash at No. 7 Concordia (8-5, 5-2 WHAC) awaiting.
