TU Places Six on All-Crossroads League Team

AVON, Ohio – The Taylor men's cross country team (80-18) placed six student-athletes on the All-Crossroads League Team, as announced by the league office on Monday.
The No. 6 Trojans claimed second place at the Crossroads League Championships on Saturday, placing six Trojans in the top-15 finishers. Josh Roth, Daniel Gerber, Hunter Smith, Alex Helmuth, Derek Van Prooyen and Connor White were the top finishers for TU and earned All-CL honors.
Roth led the Purple and Gold, finishing third place overall with a time of 25:06.5. Following Roth, Gerber grabbed sixth place in 25:15.6. Smith claimed eighth place with a 25:24.1 mark. Helmuth notched 11th-place in 25:42.4. Van Prooyen recorded a time of 25:44.6 and finished in 14th-place. White secured the final All-CL spot in 15th-place with a time of 25:46.2.
The All-Crossroads League honors were the first for Helmuth, Van Prooyen and White, with Gerber collecting the award for the second time and Roth and Smith earning a spot on the All-CL Team for the third time.
The Trojans will return to action at the NAIA National Championships on November 22 in Vancouver, Washington.
