Twelve Trojan Men Honored as NAIA Scholar-Athletes

KANSAS CITY – The Taylor men's cross country team not only excelled on the course in 2023, but also achieved highly in the classroom as evidenced by twelve NAIA Men's Cross Country Scholar-Athlete awards.
Only two schools received more awards than the Trojans, with Milligan and The Master's collecting the most with a total of 15.
Alex Ortiz, Ben Eiffert, Bryce Noble, Grayson Rasmus, Jack Hammond, Joel Mumaw, Luke Harber, Matthew Roach, Ryan Hanak, Tiernan Bass, Zach McKowen, and Zane Callison were among 491 men's cross country student-athletes from around the country honored for their achievements in the classroom.
To be eligible for an NAIA Scholar-Athlete award, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade-point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale while having attended one full year at their current institution.
