LAKELAND, Fla. – The Taylor women's basketball team fell to Southeastern, 82-56, on Monday night.
The Trojans (2-3) kept the deficit manageable for most of the first half, staying within ten points of the Fire until 2:51 remaining in the second quarter, when Southeastern went on a 9-0 run to increase the lead to 19 going into halftime.
After the break, SEU (3-0) extended its lead to as many as 30 points after outscoring TU 20-11 in the third quarter.
The Trojans were led in scoring by Josie Cobb's 11 points, followed by 10 points from Becca Buchs off the bench.
Kendall Bradbury, Cassidy Wyse and Sydney Huffman each contributed nine points for Taylor, while Wyse added seven rebounds to lead TU on the glass.
The RV Trojans (2-3) will return to action on Saturday when they will host Robert Morris (0-3) at Paul Patterson Court at 1:00 pm.
