Taylor Receives Votes in Latest NAIA Top 25 Poll
NAIA Women's Basketball Coaches' Top 25 Poll
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – With four games remaining in the regular season and league tournament bids on the line, Taylor (16-8, 6-8 CL) continues to receive votes in the NAIA Women's Basketball Coaches' Top 25 Poll, as the final regular-season edition of the poll was released Wednesday by the national office.
Taylor garnered 13 points in the latest tally, which ranks 39th among the 45 total teams registering points in the national poll. Additionally, the Trojans appeared at 43rd in the latest RPI rankings revealed this week, dropping over 20 spots from the previous RPI release.
Crossroads League teams appearing in the NAIA Coaches' Top 25 poll include No. 4 Marian (22-2, 12-2 CL), No. 7 Saint Francis (22-2, 12-2 CL) and No. 16 Spring Arbor (20-4, 11-3 CL).
Three CL teams also received votes in the latest poll, including Taylor (16-8, 6-8 CL), Huntington (17-7, 9-5 CL) and Indiana Wesleyan (13-11, 7-7 CL).
The Trojans will face three of these six teams at home over the next week, with tonight's matchup against Saint Francis, followed by Saturday's contest versus Huntington and next Wednesday's meeting with Spring Arbor.
Dordt remains the unanimous No. 1 for the second straight ranking, holding firm with 15 first‑place votes, while Freed‑Hardeman (Tenn.) stays close behind at No. 2 with four first‑place nods of its own. Bethel (Tenn.), Marian and Campbellsville round out the top five squads.
The Trojans are looking to snap a four-game slide when they return to action tonight against Saint Francis. Opening tipoff is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. at Odle Arena.
