Taylor Receives Votes in Final NAIA Coaches’ Poll
NAIA Women's Basketball Coaches' Top 25 Poll
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Taylor University women's basketball team closed the 2025-26 regular season receiving votes in the final NAIA Women's Basketball Coaches' Top 25 Poll, the national office announced Wednesday.
The Trojans (17-12) appeared in six of eight polls this season, including six consecutive releases from November 26 through February 25, and peaked at 47 votes in Poll No. 4 published on January 14.
In her third season leading the program, head coach Cassie Wiseman guided Taylor to one of the most improved records in NAIA women's basketball — the Trojans were among just six programs nationally to win 10 or more games than the previous season. TU posted its best start since 2019-20, opening 14-0 and riding what stands as the program's third-longest win streak in program history.
The Trojans went 10-4 at Odle Arena, the program's highest home win total in six seasons, and recorded four Quad 1 victories, including wins over then-No. 13 Indiana Wesleyan and then-No. 22 Indiana Tech.
In the final poll, Crossroads League programs No. 4 Marian (26-2), No. 6 Saint Francis (25-3) and No. 18 Spring Arbor (22-6) earned ranked positions, while Taylor, Huntington (18-11) and Indiana Wesleyan (17-12) each received votes. Dordt (27-1) holds the No. 1 position, followed by Freed-Hardeman, Bethel (TN), Marian and Campbellsville.
RV Taylor will wait for the NAIA Women's Basketball Selection Show, scheduled for Thursday, March 5, at 8 p.m. ET, to learn whether the Trojans will receive an at-large bid to the national tournament.
