JACKSON, Mich. – Taylor University goalkeeper Brianna Rawlings claimed her second Crossroads League Defensive Player of the Week award of the season, the conference office announced Monday.
Rawlings, a senior from Las Vegas, Nev., delivered her fifth solo shutout of 2025 in No. 19 Taylor's scoreless draw with No. 3 Marian, making four saves and handing the Knights their first shutout in 23 matches. Marian entered the contest having outscored CL opponents 20-0.
It marked the second straight year Rawlings has shut out the Knights inside Turner Stadium. TU's 1-0 victory over Marian in 2024 stands as the program's highest-ranked win, a performance that also earned Rawlings weekly honors.
The recognition is Rawlings' third career player of the week award and Taylor's fourth this season, joining fellow honorees Campbell Massey (defensive) and Eliza Luttrell (offensive).
The Trojans host a pair of league matches this week, welcoming Saint Francis on Wednesday and Mount Vernon Nazarene on Saturday for Senior Day. Both contests kick off at 7 p.m. inside Turner Stadium, with Saturday's senior ceremony scheduled for halftime.
