JACKSON, Mich. – Jaynie Halterman was named the Crossroads League Women's Runner of the Week after setting the NAIA record time in a 6k at the Seminole Invite on Friday.
The sensational sophomore continues to reach new limits in her second collegiate season, breaking her own NAIA 6k record by 20 seconds with an incredible time of 20:04.7.
Halterman placed fourth in a meet highlighted by numerous NCAA Division I schools at the course where the NAIA National Championships are set to be held this year in November.
Taylor Athletics collected five weekly league honors on Monday, with Halterman joining Will Schuitema (men's golf) and Nathan Parker, Caleb Ranzau and Lucas Shilts (football) to move TU's total for the 2025-2026 year to 16 athlete-of-the-week awards.
Halterman and the Trojans compete next when they host the Ray Bullock on Friday, October 10, beginning at 4:00 pm.
