Trojans Place Fourth-of-12 at Sagamore Shootout

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. – Playing in its final tournament prior to the 2025 Crossroads League Championships, the Taylor men's golf team finished fourth-of-12 at the Sagamore Shootout on Monday.

Taylor posted back-to-back rounds of 311 to finish at 622 and three shots back of Midland for third. No. 13 Indiana Wesleyan and No. 14 Marian tied for the team lead at 606.

Will Schuitema and Tanner Conklin paced the Trojans by tying for 15th on the leaderboard. Both players mirrored each other by shooting rounds of 76 and 80.

Finishing just two strokes back of Schuitema and Conklin were Porter Dick and Matthew Albright in a tie for 19th. Dick fired a second-round score of 77, while Albright rallied over the final 18 with a score of 74.

Ben Oakley was TU's fifth competitor in the top-25, ending in 23rd.

Taylor will compete for the CL Championships on May 5 and 6.
