AVON, Ohio – Taylor's Caleb Anthony was named the Crossroads League Track Athlete of the Week following his stellar performance in at the Warrior Invitational last weekend.
Anthony, a sophomore who finished as the runner-up in the 60-meter hurdles at the 2017 NAIA Indoor National Championships last season, opened his 2017-18 indoor campaign with a victory in the 60-meter hurdles on Saturday. The Centerville, Ohio native clocked a time of 8.12 in the semifinals and added a race of 8.26 in the finals to earn the victory.
The 2017 NAIA All-American earned a spot into the 2018 NAIA Indoor National Championships by easily hitting the NAIA A-standard.
This is the second time in Anthony's career that he's earned Crossroads League Track Athlete of the Week honors, also earning the distinction for the week of Jan. 23-29 last season.
Anthony and the Trojans return to action on January 20, 2018 at the University of Indianapolis Invitational.
