Track and Field Collects 19 All-Crossroads League Awards

JACKSON, Mich. – The Crossroads League announced its 2022 Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field All-League selections following last weekend's outdoor track and field championships hosted by Bethel University on the campus of Notre Dame. Taylor earned 19 All-Crossroads League awards for placing top-three in any individual event or relay at the meet.

The Taylor women's team collected 11 All-Crossroads League honors and claimed first-place finishes in four events. Senior Abbey Brennan claimed the victory in the 1,500-meters, clocking a time of 4:36.08. Ahna VanderWall earned her second-straight Crossroads League steeplechase crown after repeating as the 3,000-meter steeplechase champion. VanderWall set a new CL meet record with a time of 10:43.98. Giovanna Domene secured a win in the 400-meter hurdles, logging a mark of 1:05.95. TU's 4x800-meter relay dominated the field with an event-winning time of 9:04.55. The group consisted of Brooke Studnicki, Domene, Corinne O'Leary and Brennan.

On the men's side, the Trojans racked up eight All-CL honors in seven different events. Taylor took home two individual titles, as Connor White and Mitch De Jong claimed victories in the 3,000-meter steeplechase and the javelin throw. White clocked a time of 9:20.66 to win the steeplechase. De Jong launched the javelin 56.15-meters, winning the event for the second year in a row.
