TU Men Snatch 19 Scholar-Athlete Honors for Second Straight Year
UPLAND, Ind. – The Taylor men's track and field program recently collected 19 NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors for a second year in a row.
11 of the 19 scholar-athletes were multi-time recipients for track and field, with Tiernan Bass, Braden Bixler, Isaac Elkin, Josh Forbes, Ryan Hanak, Bennett Hill, Zach McKowen, Joel Mumaw, Bryce Noble, Grayson Rasmus and Lextin Willis accomplishing the feat.
Daniel Bates, Paul Gabrielsen, Zach McWatters, Lyndon Miller, Dean Moshier, Gabriel Osborn, Jacob Parker and Kyle Sweeney all received the honor for the first time.
To be eligible for NAIA Scholar-Athlete recognition, a student-athlete must maintain a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 or above on a 4.0 scale while having attended at least one full year at their current institution.
Taylor continues its outdoor season with many athletes headed to the Saint Francis Fighting Chance Meet in Joliet, Illinois from May 9-10.
