Bio
2015 at Taylor: The junior outfielder started and played in 51-of-52 Taylor contests…Tice batted .260 on the season with a .333 on-base percentage and a .300 slugging percentage from the plate…Had 26 hits and 20 runs scored for the Trojans while also driving in ten runs on the year…Third on the team with three successful sacrifice bunts…A valuable and reliable glove in the outfield, posting a .956 fielding percentage primarily in right field…Made two impressive, athletic catches on well-hit balls in the fourth inning of the Crossroads League Tournament Championship game against Indiana Wesleyan to keep the score knotted at 2-2…Went 1-3 with two RBI in Taylor’s 9-7 win on the road against No. 18 Indiana Wesleyan on April 11…Was a perfect 3-3 with two runs scored and an RBI in the 10-2 Crossroads League Tournament win over Bethel…A Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athlete and Academic All-Crossroads League recipient.
2014 at Taylor: Played in 25 games for the Trojans and started in 15 contests…Taylor finished 42-17 overall for the most wins in program history for a season, highlighted by a Crossroads League regular season and tournament title and the program’s first win in the NAIA National Tournament, a 4-3 victory in extra-innings over Georgetown (Ky.)…Tice totaled eight hits, 12 runs scored and five RBI on the season and batted .190 with an on-base percentage of .292 and slugging percentage of .238...Went 1-3 with a run scored and two RBI in the season opening 8-6 win over Northwood University (Fla.) on February 1.
2013 at Taylor: Appeared in 29 Taylor contests as a true freshman, starting in 24 as an outfielder…Finished 23-of-68 from the plate for a .338 batting average with four extra-base hits, an on-base percentage of .392 and a slugging percentage of .412…Scored 15 runs on the season and had five RBI…Went 2-3 with two runs scored in Taylor’s 5-4 victory over receiving votes Campbellsville University on February 16…Finished 2-4 with an RBI and three runs scored in the 10-9 road win over Mount Vernon Nazarene on April 9…Had a .913 fielding percentage on 23 chances with 20 putouts, an assist and two errors for the season…Named to the Crossroads League All-Tournament Team after going 5-13 from the plate in Taylor’s four postseason games, including two RBI in the narrow 4-3 victory over Grace.
