Evans Collects Third-Career CL Pitcher-of-the-Week Honor

JACKSON, Mich. – The Crossroads League announced its weekly awards, wherein standout softball player, Maddi Evans, picked up her third-career Pitcher-of-the-Week honor.
This week's competition was based on the first three days of games at the Crossroads League Tournament.
Evans started the first four games of the tournament for the Trojans, winning three of those, including a one-hit complete game victory over Spring Arbor on Saturday.
Furthermore, Evans totaled 24 innings and 17 strikeouts, while compiling a 1.46 earned run average. Impressively, in almost half of Evans innings pitched the opponent was sent down in order, as she compiled a terrific 11 one-two-three innings throughout the four games.
Taylor athletes at large now boast a total of 41 CL or MSFA Player-of-the-Week awards during the 2021-2022 year.
The Trojans will take the field Monday, May 16th in the NAIA National Tournament. Taylor will find out its opponent and destination Tuesday, May 10th.
