Taylor Cheer Sits at No. 4 After Opening Weekend
UPLAND, Ind. – On the heels of a successful opening weekend that saw Taylor post its fifth, seventh and eighth-best team scores in program history, the Trojans moved to No. 4 in the NAIA in scoring average.
Taylor opened its 2026 season with a score of 87.6 for its best season-opening score in program history, and followed it with scores of 87.22 and 86.23 the next day at the Indiana Wesleyan Wildcat Weekend.
Those three scores gave Taylor a scoring average of 87.02 and put the Trojans at No. 4 in the NAIA, trailing only Oklahoma City (91.15), Xavier (90.74) and Indiana Wesleyan (90.43) in the nation.
No. 4 Taylor will continue its season on Friday, February 13 with a single performance at the Saint Francis Invite beginning at 6:00 pm.
