Trojans Sweep Crossroads League Honors

AVON, Ohio – The Taylor men's golf team picked up several post-season honors on Wednesday when the Crossroads League announced All-League awards.
Alec Dutkowski headlined the list for the Trojans as the senior was named the Crossroads League Player of the Year for the third consecutive season. Dutkowski posted the lowest scoring average in the Crossroads League for the season at 73.19 in 27 rounds. The Wakarusa, Indiana native tallied a pair of victories during the season and finished inside the top-10 in ten of 12 events.
Crossroads League tournament medalist Lucas Beck earned the nod as the Crossroads League Newcomer of the Year and a spot on the All-League team. A freshman from Zionsville, Indiana, Beck posted a 75.07 scoring average in 27 rounds while finishing inside the top-10 in six events. Beck played stellar golf in difficult conditions to earn his first collegiate victory at the Crossroads League Championship last week.
Senior Jeremy Ray earned All-League honors for the second consecutive season. Ray posted a 75.74 scoring average in 27 rounds and tallied eight top-10 finishes in 12 events, including a runner-up finish at the Crossroads League Championship last week.
Joining Dutkowski, Beck, and Ray on the All-League team was Nate Morris. A junior from Spencerville, Indiana, Morris tallied a 76.19 scoring average in 27 rounds, carding seven top-10 finishes during the season.
Taylor junior Scottie Marston also received recognition as All-League honorable mention. The Delwood, Minnesota native tallied a 76.27 scoring average in 22 rounds and added a pair of victories at the Egypt Valley Intercollegiate and the Ackerman-Allen Shootout.
After winning a fourth straight Crossroads League title last week the Trojans led all institutions with four All-League selections. In addition, Taylor coach Cameron Andry was voted the Crossroads League Coach of the Year. This is the fourth straight season Andry has been named the League's Coach of the Year and marks the fifth time in eight seasons Andry has garnered the award.
The Trojans will represent the Crossroads League at the NAIA National Championship at Las Sendas Golf Club in Mesa, Arizona on May 21-24.
