Oke Ends Tenure as Head Coach of Taylor Golf
UPLAND, Ind. – Taylor University has announced that Lorne Oke has stepped away from his position as its head men's and women's golf coach. The announcement brings an end to Oke's three-year stint with the Trojans.
The Taylor golf program has finished first or second in the Crossroads League on the men's side in eight of the past nine years, with six league titles in that span. On the women's side, the Trojans have finished top-three in the CL in eight-straight years, with five league championships in that time.
The TU golf programs have had plenty of success on the national stage as well, logging six top-25 finishes over the past eight NAIA Championships on the men's side and recording seven-straight top-25 showings on the women's side.
A search for the next head coach of the Taylor men's and women's golf programs will begin immediately.
