Mumaw Highlights Taylor's Performance at Kip Janvrin Open
INDIANAOLA, Iowa – Joel Mumaw led a trio of Trojans in the 1,500-meters on Friday night in the Kip Janvrin Open hosted by Simpson College.
Mumaw posted a career-best time of 3:50.21 in the event to place tenth. The mark is the 14th fastest in the NAIA this season. Jared Stayte followed close behind at 3:53.70 and Nathan Burns crossed the line in 3:57.51.
A quartet of Trojans followed in the 5,000-meters paced by Ryan Hanak, who finished seventh with a time of 14:42.11, which is the 21st fastest time in the NAIA this year. Jordan Burden crossed the line next in ninth at 14:43.43, also a top-25 time in the NAIA this year. Luke Harber and Alex Ortiz rounded out the finishers for TU in 17th and 23rd.
The Trojan men continue their season at the Crossroads League Championships on Thursday, April 30th at 9:30 am in Marion, Indiana.
