UPLAND, Ind. – The Taylor softball program is hosting four camps throughout the summer, a pair of youth development camps and a pair of elite prospect camps to help girsl of all ages develop their skills.
Taylor will host two youth development camps for girls entering grades 2-7 on Tuesday, June 16th and Tuesday, July 7th. Campers will receive instruction on the fundamentals of the game, including fielding, throwing, hitting, baserunning, and sliding. If the weather cooperates, there may be a fun slip-and-slide activity to conclude camp. Parents are encouraged to send an extra set of clothes and a towel just in case. Players will go through a comprehensive power testing session, including overhand velocity, hitting exit velocity, home-to-first and home-to-home times, and vertical jump testing. Campers will also take part in position-specific drills, instruction, and live scrimmaging. Athletes and families will have opportunities to engage in Q&A sessions with our staff and enjoy a campus tour to learn more about our program and environment.
