Patterson and Pinwar Earn All-American Status on Final Day of NAIA Outdoor Championships

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – Sam Patterson and Malarie Pinwar earned NAIA All-American status on the final day of the NAIA Outdoor Championships for Taylor.
The Taylor women finished with eight points and finished 33rd of 75 teams that scored, securing three NAIA All-American nods along the way.
After qualifying for the finals in steeplechase a day earlier, Patterson saved her best race for the final day of the season. The junior ran her personal best time in the steeplechase with a mark of 10:59.47, ten seconds faster than her previous best mark in the event. This earned her a sixth-place finish
Pinwar then raced in the 5,000-meters and capped the event with an eighth-place finish. Pinwar clocked a time of 17:28.91 to earn the NAIA All-American nod in the event. The junior was competitive throughout the race, running with the fourth through eighth place finishers until the end.
The Taylor women caped another terrific season and return a bevy of talent including a pair of 2026 NAIA All-Americans to compete in 2027.
