Sakeuh Named NAIA Field Athlete of the Week
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – For the first time in her career, Taylor's Plenseh-Tay Sakeuh has been named the NAIA Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the week, the NAIA national office announced on Wednesday.
Sakeuh, who earned her second Crossroads League Athlete of the Week honor of the season earlier this week, claimed the NAIA national field athlete of the week award after taking first place and recording an NAIA A standard and season-best mark of 5.76 meters in the long jump. The junior from Lapel, Indiana also clocked an NAIA A standard time of 8.97 meters to take second place in the 60-meter hurdles as well on Saturday.
Sakeuh was responsible for 36 points for the Trojans as TU claimed the team title in the first-ever Crossroads League Indoor Track and Field Championships.
