Pair of Champions Pace Trojans at Little State
MARION, Ind. - After two full days of competition at the Indiana Intercollegiate Little State Championships, the Taylor women's track and field team worked their way into third place in the field of 14. On Saturday, TU was anchored by two event champions and 12 top-five finishes.
The two championship performances on Saturday for the Trojans were both earned on the track with Plenseh-Tay Sakeuh capturing the 100-meter hurdles crown with a time of 14.61 seconds and Alex Berends winning the 1,500-meter competition in 4:44.05. Berends was not alone in the 1,500-meter run as teammates Mae Elizabeth Gimre and Taylor Bluemel both finished in third and fifth, respectively.

Also nabbing second in the final standings were Rachel Blagg in the 800-meter and the women's 4x100-meter relay team.
