Studnicki Races to All-American Honors

BROOKINGS, S.D. – The Taylor women's track and field squad ended with two athletes competing on the third and final day of the 2020 NAIA Indoor National Championships.
Brooke Studnicki concluded her NAIA Nationals outing with another impressive performance in the 800-meter run. The freshman helped the 4x800-meter relay squad break the TU program record on Thursday, then earned All-American honors in the relay on Friday. Studnicki also broke the 800-meter record for Taylor in the prelims Friday, and returned on Saturday with an All-American performance in the finals. She placed seventh overall and finished with a time of 2:17.78.
Kenley Blake also competed for the Trojans. The freshman gained nationals experience in the high jump, but did not clear opening height.
As a team, TU garnered a total of 6 points for the championship and placed 33rd of 54 teams.
The Trojans will begin their outdoor season on March 27 and 28 at the Emory Invite in Atlanta, Georgia.
