Women’s 4x800-Relay Qualifies for NAIA Nationals in Friday Meet

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The group of Jaynie Halterman, Emersyn Funk, Noel Bass and Malarie Pinwar competed in the 4x800-meter relay on Friday at the Indiana Tech Orange and Black Invitational and automatically qualified for NAIA Nationals in the event.

Taylor raced to a time of 9:23.27 to finish fourth-of-11 teams in the event and cleared the NAIA A-standard time of 9:24.00 to punch a ticket to the NAIA National Championships on March 5 through 7 in Gainesville, Florida.

Halterman, Funk, Bass and Pinwar were the only Trojans in action on Friday, with TU set to compete as a full team at the Indiana Wesleyan Midwest Classic on Saturday, February 7 starting at 10:00 am.
