Ninth-Ranked Trojans Finish Fall Season with Second-Place Showing

LACONIA, Ind. – The Taylor women's golf team ended its fall season with a second-place team finish at the Crossroads League Preview, picking up its fourth finish of first or second in five tourneys this fall.

The No. 9 Trojans opened the eight-team event on fire, shooting the best round of the two-day tournament with a 301 on Monday to open a five-shot lead. Struggles followed TU around the course on Tuesday however, and a final-round tally of 319 saw the Trojans lose their grip on the lead and finish in second place with a 620.

Sabrina Langerak led the way, riding a 73 on Monday to a third-place finish at 152. The 73 was the best score of the opening round and lifted the junior to her fourth top-10 finish of the fall and second top-three showing.

Elizabeth Kemper followed in eight place, turning in a 76 on Tuesday to lead Taylor and ending inside the top-10 for the second time this season. Ellie Beavins also recorded her second top-10 finish by tying for 10th and Shayne Lim ended in 12th.

No. 9 Taylor (39-11) will now gear up for the spring season, with hopes of pursuing a fifth Crossroads League title in the past six years.
