Schuitema Finishes 45th at NAIA National Championships
YPSILANTI, Mich. – The 2026 NAIA Women's Golf National Championships came to a close for Eleanor Schuitema after 36 holes of action, as the sophomore narrowly missed making the cut after Thursday's round.
Schuitema opened the tournament's second round on the front nine and recovered from a double-bogey on the second hole of the day to card a birdie and four pars over the next five holes.
Schuitema finished the first nine at two-over par for the day but saw things slide over the back-nine at six-over par to finish the day with an 80 and the tournament at 13-over par after the first two rounds.
Schuitema's two-day score of 157 put her in a tie for 45th and gave her a pair of top-100 showings at NAIA Nationals to start her collegiate career.
