No. 18 Taylor Competes at Folds of Honor Challenge
ALLENDALE, Mich. – Competing against a field made up mostly of nationally-ranked NCAA Division II foes, No. 18 Taylor finished seventh-of-nine teams at the three-day Folds of Honor Challenge hosted by Grand Valley State.
The team leaderboard was dominated by No. 5 Findlay, No. 10 Grand Valley State, No. 3 Dallas Baptist and No. 11 West Texas A&M, as the four teams all posted 54-hole team totals under 900 to lead the pack.
Taylor posted a team score of 955, after posting marks of 321, 319 and 315 in succession over its three days at the Meadows Golf Club.
Shayne Lim paced the Trojans with the team's lone top-25 finish on the individual leaderboard. The senior finished in 25th with a score of 234, bolstered by a first-round tally of 76 and a third-round score of 78.
Eleanor Schuitema and Margarita Garrido followed with final scores of 236 and 237 to finish in 30th and 33rd among 52 competitors at the event. Schuitema highlighted her tournament with a 77 during Tuesday's second round, while Garrido closed with a 77 on Wednesday.
