Lim Paces No. 19 Taylor at Music City Classic
NASHVILLE – No. 19 Taylor finished play at the Music City Classic on Tuesday, competing in the three-round event amongst a loaded field that included 15 teams ranked or receiving votes in the latest NAIA Top-25 Poll.
The Trojans held their own against the top competition, tying for 11th place with No. 20 Rocky Mountain in the 21-team field and ending just nine shots back of a top-10 finish.
TU opened with rounds of 309 and 313 on Monday but moved up four spots in the final standings with a round of 307 on Tuesday.
Shayne Lim led the way for Taylor, posting successive scores of 72, 73 and 71 to finish at 216 and in a tie for third-place on the individual leaderboard.
Eleanor Schuitema also performed well with scores of 74, 73 and 78 to finish at 225 and in 18th place out of the 104 competitors at the event.
Hope Haarer also fueled TU's Tuesday rally with a round of 76 over the final 18 holes.
No. 19 Taylor will be back in action on April 17 and 18 to compete in the two-round Pilot Spring Classic, hosted by Bethel in South Bend, Indiana.
