Opening Round of Nationals Halted for Darkness
YPSILANTI, Mich. – The 2025 NAIA Women's Golf National Championships got underway on Tuesday at the Eagle Crest Golf Club. Taylor was one of the last teams to take the course and ended the day as one-of-six teams to not complete the round before darkness set in on the course.
Taylor got full rounds from Ellie Karst and Hope Haarer but saw Shayne Lim, Eleanor Schuitema and Ellie Beavins have their rounds cut short.
With the incomplete results, TU finished the day in 23rd-of-30 teams on the leaderboard and will look to close the gap on the cut line on Wednesday morning when play resumes.
With the opening round final results pending, Lim and Schuitema paced the Trojans in 43rd and 57th on the individual leaderboard.
The Trojans are set to take the course for the conclusion of round one on Wednesday at 7:00 am, with the second round starting at 8:40 am.
